Creating space for meaningful change

Transformative coaching for greater clarity, confidence and impact

Areas of Focus

I offer a warm, supportive and thought-provoking coaching space where you can explore what's happening beneath the surface, gain fresh perspective and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe that people are naturally resourceful, and that lasting transformation comes not from advice, but from being deeply heard, asking powerful questions and developing greater self-awareness.

My work centres around three key themes:

  • Executive & Leadership Coaching
For leaders navigating greater responsibility, complexity, and change

  • Career Coaching
For professionals seeking clarity, progression, or a new direction

  • Confidence & Personal Development
For people who want to overcome self-doubt and show up with greater confidence and authenticity

What Coaching Is (And Isn't)

Coaching with me is not...

"Woo-woo"
While I value reflection, self-awareness and curiosity, my approach is practical and grounded.

A last-ditch effort when you hit rock bottom
Some people come to coaching during a challenging period. Others come because things are actually going quite well, but they know they're capable of more, want greater clarity, or feel ready for a change.

Giving specific advice
If you're looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do, coaching may not be the right fit. I won't give you a formula for your life. Instead, I'll help you uncover your own answers, because those tend to be the ones that actually stick.

Mentoring
Mentoring draws on someone's experience and expertise. Coaching is different. I'm not here to tell you what worked for me. I'm here to help you explore what will work for you.

Therapy
Therapy and coaching can both be incredibly valuable, but they serve different purposes. Therapy often focuses on healing and understanding the past. Coaching focuses more on the present and future, helping you move towards a goal, navigate a challenge, or create meaningful change.

Coaching clearly has a bit of a branding problem.

Depending on what you've seen online, you might think coaching is about manifesting your dream life, being given a five-step blueprint for success, or paying someone a lot of money to tell you how to fix yourself. (Newsflash: you don’t need to be ‘fixed’)

That's not the kind of coaching I do.

So what is coaching?

For me, coaching is a space to pause.

A space to untangle thoughts that have been circling your head for months. To explore questions you haven't had time, permission, or confidence to ask. To notice patterns, that may be hindering instead of helping you.

It's a conversation built on curiosity rather than judgement.

I won't tell you who to be, what decision to make, or what your version of success should look like. What I will offer are thoughtful questions, deep listening, honest reflection, and support as you work out what matters most to you and what you'd like to do next.

The people I work with often come to coaching because they're navigating change, feeling stuck, struggling with confidence, considering a career move, stepping into leadership, or simply wanting a clearer sense of direction.

Together, we create space for insight, action, and meaningful progress, in a way that feels authentic to who you are.

Client Reflections

  • “I valued being able to talk so openly and freely about what my goals were and to receive well considered and thoughtful questions and prompts to guide me through how I could achieve them. I really enjoyed the structure of these conversations as I felt like I was able to realise aspects of my goals (and my approach to them) that I had never considered before. It was incredibly eye opening and just astonishing how much better I was able to understand and envision my goals when talking aloud and to an objective ear. I really can’t thank Aliya enough for the fantastic guidance she provided, which I’ve continued to refer to since our sessions! I will definitely be recommending Aliya’s coaching to anyone in need of a supportive, objective and non-judgemental environment to make their goals a reality.”

  • “Working with Aliya was incredibly helpful in supporting me through preparing for promotion. I worked with her on planning the work needed for completing the application, thinking through the resources needed and realistic timescales. She provided a scaffold for brainstorming that solved many intractable problems. She was also a very steady and supportive presence when emotional wobbles and dips in confidence emerged from time to time during the process. She showed me that I can do hard things.”

  • “I came to coaching looking for some direction on how to move my career forward, after feeling a little stuck in my current role. I had undertaken some coaching before and had not found it hugely helpful but was interested in giving it another go; Aliya's process was very different to my previous experience, and I'm so glad I did. Over the course of our sessions, we worked out what work brought me a sense of fulfilment and how to ensure I engaged in more of this through my day-to-day work. Aliya gave me the space and quiet to really think through what I wanted and needed from my work, providing prompts to my thought processes, and acting as a critical friend throughout. Through the work I have undertaken with Aliya I have identified what motivates and drives me, allowing me to progress and take the next steps in my career.”

  • Aliya's coaching totally surpassed [my] expectations and helped me to develop an understanding that the 'product' I was working towards isn't a new version of myself as I embark on a new job, it's all within my capacity. How I approach things, and my thought processes, and how to notice particular patterns were all explored and helped me gain a deeper insight into me as manager, the type of leader I want to be and what I'm looking to achieve. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to take part in coaching, but even more so of having the opportunity with Aliya. I was met with warmth, positivity and her investment in my journey helped me fully immerse in this experience, and made me really want to do the hard work outside of sessions! I'll be forever grateful for these past weeks working together and would highly recommend anyone considering coaching with Aliya - absolutely do so!
